I thought this article was interesting. It talks about how God gives us Tips on eatting right in the design of food.

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye...and YES science now shows that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart is red and has four chambers. All of the research shows
tomatoes are indeed pure heart and blood food.

Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows that grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.

A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds are on the nut just like the neo-cortex. We now know that walnuts help develop over 3 dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.

Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet the body pulls it from the bones, making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

Eggplant, Avocados and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats 1 avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? ..... It takes exactly 9 months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries

Grapefruits,
Oranges, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

Onions look like body cells. Today's research shows that onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes

Writer's Block is a terrible aliment. I have been plagued with it for quite sometime now. I have so many thoughts streaming through my mind all day and sometimes even in my dreams. When I go to write it down and I find myself staring at a blank page that somehow erases the thoughts in my head. I push myself to concentrate and get the words on paper the feeling and emotion is gone. The writing is dead.

A lil Point of Grace for ya!

Verse 1:
Wake up to the sunlight
With your windows open
Don't hold in your anger or leave things unspoken
Wear your red dress
Use your good dishes
Make a big mess and make lots of wishes
Have what you want
But want what you have
And don't spend your life lookin' back

Chorus:
Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
Let it all out
You won't regret it
Lookin' back from where you have been
Cuz it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did

It's how you live

Verse 2:
So go to the ballgames
And go to the ballet
And go see your folks more than just on the holidays
Kiss all your children
Dance with your wife
Tell your husband you love him every night
Don't run from the truth
'Cause you can't get away
Just face it and you'll be okay

Chorus:
Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
Let it all out
You won't regret it
Lookin' back from where you have been
'Cause it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live

[these lyrics are found on http://www.songlyrics.com]
Bridge:
Oh wherever you are and wherever you've been
Now is the time to begin

Verse 3:
So give to the needy
And pray for the grieving
E'en when you don't think that you can
'Cause all that you do is bound to come back to you
So think of your fellow man
Make peace with God and make peace with yourself
'Cause in the end there's nobody else

Chorus
Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
Let it all out
'Cause you won't regret it
Lookin' back from where you have been
'Cause it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live

'Cause it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live

Happy Thanksgiving!

*a deep sigh*

I am taking this moment to sneak away in between the crazy spirt on this day. I just got done with some cooking and  family will be here soon. The exception of my brother and uncle because they will be working at places that can not close down for the holiday. Normally, I take this time to share who I am grateful for on Thanksgiving. So often I over look the material things that I have. By no means am I more thankful for things that will fade away rather than lasting relationships. However, I don't Thank God enough for the blessings he has given me to make it day by day.

So....

I am taking time to Thank God for my car that is running great today. That has got me to work, school, and trips of visiting my friends for the past year and a half. I thank him that though it is old, I am still able to put miles on it even with a full car load (7 people). I am blessed that every time it has broken down (4 times) in the past year and a half, he has provided the mechanics and the money to fix it.

I am taking time to Thank God for the house I live in. Though I sometimes complain that it is too cold and too crowded. I thank him for warm sweaters and blankets. I thank him for the warm memories and joyful laughter that crowds every inch of this house.  I thank God for the bed I sleep in every night with my "must have" 3 pillows. I thank him for the hot shower every morning and a cup of tea anytime I want.  I thank him for the free laundry with great smelling fabric softener. I thank God for the food that I receive always hot and fresh. I thank him for my books that fill the shelves and the stories that fill my journals. I thank him for my secret writing office and the chance to hide away from it all. I thank God for this home that has been a safe haven for 20 years of my adventures.

I am taking time to Thank God for my cell phone, laptop, and digital camera. Though none are even close to being necessities, I thank him for the technology that keeps me close to my far away friends and family. I can communicate to my sister, my best friend, and TM people well enough without my cell phone. However, I thank God that I can call Joanie every night from my bed to her college room just to make it seem like old times growing up sharing a room with my sister. I thank God that I can call Tiffany that very second that something funny has happened and share the laugh with her. I thank God for Yahoo, Facebook and Myspace that keeps all of us updated in this crazy busy life. I thank him that every time I miss an event with my friends, I can reminisce with them anyway because of the photos and videos posted on Facebook. All this communication is all provided through laptops and digital cameras that I either need or deserve. I thank God for giving it to me.

I am taking time to Thank God for my overworked and underpaid job I have. :) LOL. It is a paycheck every week and pays my bills every month. I thank him for the opportunity it brings me to share his grace and show his love. I thank God for the people I have met there and the family I have made.

Please take time to say Thank you to God that provides more than enough in our lives.

I am taking time to Thank God for:

Our Troops: I am grateful for our safety and FREEDOM
My Family: Dad, Mom, Jim, Paul, Joanie, and Gina
My Friends: Tiff, TMers, NCUers
The grocery store workers working today: You helped make my Thanksgiving dinner edible!
The people reading this post: I LOVE YOU!
